3A molecular sieves have a pore opening of approximately 3 Angstroms. This size allows water molecules (2.6 Angstroms) to enter and be captured, while excluding larger refrigerant molecules like R134a or R32. Using larger pore sizes, like 4A, can trap refrigerant molecules, which reduces drying capacity and can cause chemical breakdown of the refrigerant.
Polyolester (POE) oils are highly hygroscopic, meaning they absorb water quickly. In the presence of moisture, POE oil can undergo hydrolysis, creating organic acids that damage the compressor motor insulation. Systems using POE oil require dryers with high moisture capacity and acid-neutralizing capability, which we achieve by blending molecular sieves with activated alumina.
A pressure drop is usually caused by accumulated debris blocking the filter core. If the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the dryer is noticeable, it indicates a restriction, and the filter should be replaced to protect the expansion valve and compressor.
We use automated argon arc welding for the main shell joints to ensure clean, strong welds. Afterward, every batch is pressure-tested and helium-leak tested under high pressure to ensure leak-free operation, even in high-pressure R410A and R32 systems.
